In general, some paper guide rollers, such as those with tension sensors, can be used as carbon fiber material rollers or as return rollers for calenders.
Advantages: Ultra light, no need for driving, relying on the drag of paper.
There is also a stretcher roller, which is made of this material. Then, through the two end bearings, the transverse bending force is applied to the two end shaft heads (at a 90 degree angle to the longitudinal direction of the drum), causing the drum body to bend to a certain extent, thereby stretching the paper.

Also, there are poles for changing blankets and nets. In the past, pillars were made of aluminum. For a paper machine with a width exceeding 10 meters, the weight of such a long aluminum rod is quite large, making it very difficult to handle and use. The carbon fiber felt (mesh) pillar material effectively solves this problem.
But it cannot be used in pressure areas and cannot withstand significant pressure.
